The pension system is not balanced today. This was regretfully stated by the head of the United Russia faction, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Sergei Neverov, speaking at parliamentary and public hearings on changing pension legislation on Tuesday, August 21. He recalled that today the budget of the Pension Fund of the Russian Federation is subsidized: from the 8.3 trillion rubles necessary for paying citizens, the receipts to the Fund from employers are only 4.8 trillion rubles. The remaining 3.3 trillion rubles. are allocated from the federal budget, in fact, to the detriment of many health, education, infrastructure projects. "Three trillion is the aggregate budget of 60 regions of the country," called Neverov.

He pointed out that now there are many alternative proposals, where to take money for the payment of pensioners, without changing the parameters of the current system. But all of them turn out to be populist. For example, some suggest that the Pension Fund of the Welfare Fund. But there - only 5 trillion rubles. That is, a year or two of this money is enough, and then the country will again face to face with the problem, what to keep pensioners. It is necessary to take responsibility and take an unpopular decision to create a sustainable pension system and the well-being of future generations, called on the Nevers.
