The apotheosis of the fantastic proposals of the Maidan apologists can be considered the idea of ??enlisting the forces of the North Atlantic bloc to accompany ships in the Azov Sea following the Ukrainian ports through the Kerch Strait. Such a project was put forward by the Deputy Minister for the issues of temporarily occupied territories and internally displaced persons of the Nezalezhnaya Georgy Tuk. "Theoretically, we can consider two possible versions. The first is an appeal to the UN Security Council with a request for maritime convoy. The second version, it is less likely from my point of view, is the use of NATO forces to escort in the Sea of ??Azov, "Tuka said on the air of" 112 ". In his confession, he "would not have predicted" that the armed forces of the alliance would help Ukraine in this matter. The situation in the Azov Sea became more acute in March of this year, after the seizure by the Ukrainian border guards of the Kerch fishing boat "Nord", which was under the Russian flag. On its board were ten Russian citizens, whom the Kiev authorities consider Ukrainians. Nine members of the crew received a fine, but the captain faces a prison sentence of up to 5 years. Two "nordians" in April managed to escape from the Independent home to the Crimea, the rest are still in Ukraine. Then, after the opening of the automobile part of the Crimean bridge in May, problems in the Sea of ??Azov increased for Ukrainians. They complain that the transport crossing has become an obstacle to large ships, and therefore it allegedly hinders the economic development of such ports as Mariupol and Berdyansk.
The command of the Black Sea Fleet against the backdrop of the detention of the Nord, as well as for the protection of the Crimean bridge, stated that it was ready to ensure the safety of navigation in the northeastern part of the Black Sea and the water area of ??the Azov Sea. Later it became known that Russian border guards mercilessly inspect vessels going to Ukrainian ports. At the same time, in the Crimean border patrol the FSB stressed that the inspections are conducted in accordance with international maritime law. This is also confirmed in the GPS of Ukraine.
