Chairman of the Election Commission of the Sverdlovsk Region Valery Chaynikov commented on the situation with the registration of initiative groups for holding a referendum on the issue of pension reform.
Already an initiative group of 177 city dwellers has been registered, which have outstripped both the CPRF and the SR, fighting for primacy in this issue. The Sverdlovsk Communists held a meeting of their initiative group on August 13, but had not yet submitted data to the Electoral Commission.
"We do not have a petition for this group yet..
All actions for registration of the initiative group will be conducted in accordance with the law, which states that the regional subgroup approved the same wording of the question (as the previous one and already registered,. ed) can not be registered, "- read Chaynikov from the leaflet.
Recall, on August 10, the CEC approved three issues for a referendum on raising the retirement age. In each region of the Russian Federation there can be only one initiative group for conducting a referendum. In the Sverdlovsk region, the CPs and the CPRF failed to agree among themselves, so the Communists managed to hold a meeting of their initiative group before the SR - August 13.
