The applicant for the chair of the capital mayor held another meeting in his election headquarters, where this time the issues of ecology were discussed. In particular, it was a question of the Moscow oil refinery (MNPZ). Replacement and modernization at the plant facilities will reduce the emission of harmful substances at times, believes Sergei Sobyanin. He promised that the plant will be equipped with a new combined oil refining device that will speed up the elimination of "dirty" equipment. "The new installation is being built in place of other morally and physically obsolete installations," the mayor said, noting that the re-equipment would significantly improve the ecological situation in the metropolitan region. "I must say that in 2010-2011 we carried out a significant reconstruction of the MNPZ, and today the emissions have already halved, but, nevertheless, there are still a lot of work," Sobyanin assured.. The acting mayor recalled that Moscow was the first in Russia to introduce a fuel standard for fuel of an ecological class not lower than Euro-4, and then Euro-5. He also drew attention to the ban on the entry of trucks with engines below Euro-2. The benefits of this measure are obvious, concluded Sobyanin. "This has had a significant effect on air emissions, because this is the main source of pollution," the mayor explained.. He warned that he would continue to monitor the environmental situation in Moscow. Close attention will be paid to high-quality fuel, which, according to Sobyanin, is the main polluter of the environment. "Why do we pay so much attention to the Moscow refinery To ensure that people who live in neighboring houses and neighborhoods feel environmentally sound, not harmed, but the same as in other areas. I think that this task is achievable. Of course, we need to work on this, nothing is done of ourselves, but given the colossal investment resources that are invested in the Moscow refinery, and the timing of the implementation dynamics, the situation there will continue to change, and change drastically, "the mayor summed up. The reduction of the volume of harmful emissions due to the new installation was also spoken by the chief ecologist of the Oil Refinery, Yuri Erokhin. During the year with the help of new technology, he explained, 1500 tons of polluting gases will not get into the air. At the same time, the specific energy consumption of equipment will decrease by 11%.
"We understand our responsibility not only for producing motor fuels of the highest ecological class, but also for the environment. That is why we are now tasking not only to minimize the company's impact on the city's ecology, but also to produce appropriate products, "Yerokhin said, adding that Muscovites began to complain less about the work of the MNPZ, which can be confirmed by Rospotrebnadzor. Care for the ecology of the capital - part of the pre-election program of the self-nominee Sobyanin. Elections of the mayor of Moscow will be held on September 9.
