Ukrainian parliamentarians have ratified a document granting the Netherlands the right to determine the degree of guilt and penalty to the suspects in the wreck of the Malaysian Boeing 777 in the Donbass in 2014. The decision was approved by 241 deputies from 450 members of the Verkhovna Rada. However, for a positive verdict, there would be 226 votes. The agreement on international legal cooperation signed by the ministers of justice of the two countries with the Netherlands as early as July 2017.

In the middle of last month it was ratified by the Dutch. Thus, the Netherlands obtained the right to "prosecute persons" connected with the air crash of MN17. From the document it follows that the court session will be held in The Hague, RIA Novosti writes, and for those who can not be delivered to the Netherlands, the court is organized in a video conference mode. The convicts also have to serve sentences in Dutch prisons, but for Ukrainians an exception is made-they will be able to sit in their homeland. However, to shorten their term or change the conditions of stay, the Ukrainian side will not be able to do it on its own - all will be solved exclusively by the Dutch.

The Malaysian Airlines liner, which followed from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur, collapsed near Donetsk on July 17, 2014. All aboard the 298 people were killed. Kiev accused the militia of the Donbass of the incident, but there they stated that they did not have the appropriate weapons. In May 2018.

an international investigation team said that the airliner was shot down from the Buk SAM belonging to the Russian Armed Forces. In Moscow, the charges were rejected.
