After accession to the Crimea as a result of the referendum, life in the region became better than in Ukraine, and the Russian government spares no money for the development of the peninsula. To this conclusion came in his article the journalist of the German edition Deutschlandfunk Thomas Frank. The author writes that Crimea has become a prestigious project for the Russian authorities. To adequately develop the peninsula, it was necessary to link it to mainland Russia. The only project for the construction of a 19-kilometer bridge cost Moscow 3 billion euros, but according to Crimean residents, with whom the journalist talked, this greatly simplified the life. And the transport object benefits not only the Crimeans, but the entire south of Russia. The author gives the story of a couple of businessmen from Yalta who are engaged in the supply of kitchens of a well-known German brand. They started their business when Crimea was still part of Ukraine, so they have something to compare with. Entrepreneurs reported that now all financial transactions have become much more transparent. According to them, the office in Moscow, through which they spend money, regularly sends them all the reports. And before these operations had to be done through Kiev, which did not send in return any supporting documents. With the advent of Russia, the family business is absolutely clean in the tax plan. Logistics has also become better, because the network of a German firm is more developed in the Russian Federation, "and the goods are often delivered there than to Ukraine," the Crimean Germans. The journalist did not fail to clarify that the activity of selling kitchens from Germany is absolutely legal and does not fall under anti-Russian sanctions. The author notes the construction boom on the peninsula and the active active development of transport infrastructure, accelerating the flow of goods and the movement as a whole. From the middle of May cars and buses go to Crimea, construction of the railway, and also an autobahn through peninsula, the German journalist. He quotes the representative of the Crimean association of entrepreneurs Ivan Plohotnichenko that now the construction sector is experiencing a real "boom". "Since Russia ruled here, roads are being repaired, housing is being built, which was not done in the years of Ukraine," said Crimean Frank. According to the Minister of Economic Development of the Republic of Natalia Chaban, the GDP of the peninsula in 2017 increased by 10% compared to last year. As an example of large-scale projects of the Crimea, the journalist called the erection of the Crimean bridge and the laying of the motorway "Tavrida". At the same time he pointed to the problems of the peninsula: the standard of living in the Crimea is still below the average in Russia, the infrastructure and equipment are badly worn out, there are still interruptions with power supply. "Especially bad with water, given that agriculture is an important economic factor of the peninsula," the author of the article.
