In February this year, the European Commission introduced Tunisia into the black list of countries that may be involved in the financing of terrorism. According to experts, this measure is fully justified - the country's authorities are still powerless in the fight against this problem and can not protect the financial sector. Problems in Tunisia began in 2011 after the change of government. The authorities are not able to overcome the financial crisis so far. Sources say that improvements should not be expected in the near future, as the situation is aggravated by internal political confrontation and conflicts in the ruling circles. In addition, the country can turn into a powerful bulwark of terrorism. Currently, because of unemployment, many Tunisians are increasingly becoming members of militias. At the beginning of the year, Tunisian Prime Minister Youssef Shahed urged residents to make some sacrifices to overcome the deep crisis and promised that 2018 would be the last difficult year. However, according to political scientists, citizens understand that if nothing has changed in seven years in the country, then one can not believe in words politics. To stop the crisis and violence in a short time is simply impossible. It is worth recalling that on June 26, 2015, the largest in the history of Tunisia terrorist act was committed in the resort town of Sousse. Then, 38 guests of the Riu Imperial Marhaba Hotel were shot. In connection with the tragedy, international operators gradually began to turn off business in the country. In fact, 300 of the 570 hotels in Tunisia stopped working at once. In subsequent years, the trend continued. This was a powerful blow to the tourist sector, which led to a further crisis. The flow stopped from Germany, France, Italy, Spain and many other countries. Earlier it was reported that the loss of Tunisia from the consequences of the terrorist attack amounted to more than half a billion dollars. Of course, the main problem of Tunisia remains terrorism. As already mentioned, extremist sentiment is aggravated by unemployment, poverty and the economic crisis. Attempts by the authorities to remedy the situation do not end in success. Experts say that Tunisia is already on the outskirts of the international community. It is worth noting that in three years the number of visitors from Britain alone dropped by a record 90%. But, there is a constant flow of radicals from neighboring countries. Only in February in the country was discovered another terrorist cell. Five of its participants are arrested, but terrorist groups continue to hide in the mountains.

Obviously, the enhanced security measures in the country are only an appearance to calm the population and tourists, but the real threat is still not eliminated. In Tunisia, the state of emergency. The constant threat of terrorist attacks closed the doors for foreign companies and capital. The European Union is in no hurry to help Tunisia. According to experts, this is explained by the same political instability in the country. It is reported that a further scenario may look like a complete isolation of Tunisia, followed by a humanitarian catastrophe.
