Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov believes that the case of the Violins brought serious political dividends to London. In an interview with Channel 4, Lavrov said that Britain, during the investigation of the incident, tried to hide the evidence. The RF Foreign Minister stressed that the official London in response to the RF proposal for a joint investigation into the poisoning of the Violins stated that they were only interested in whether it was done by the order of Vladimir Putin or the Russian president lost control over the performers. Lavrov recalled some of the problems in the case: for example, Sergei Skripal, his daughter Julia and the policeman, who was first on the scene, suddenly recovered, and now the authorities are going to demolish the house of the Violins, remove the bench where the poisoned ex-spy and his daughter were sitting. To the direct question of the TV presenter, whether Lavrov believes that Britain is trying to hide the evidence, the minister answered in the affirmative and added that he recalled that over the past few years, about ten Russian citizens were killed in the United Kingdom, and the investigation of their deaths took place in secrecy. Press secretary of the Russian embassy in Britain told RIA Novosti that Moscow is open for a joint investigation with London of the poisoning of the Fiddles.

"We urge the British authorities to respond to the numerous questions posed by us in connection with the Salisbury incident," the diplomat stressed.. In March of this year in the British city of Salisbury, a former GRU officer Sergei Skripal and his daughter Yulia were poisoned. London immediately accused the state of emergency of the Russian authorities, without giving any evidence. Great Britain, USA, Canada and a number of European countries decided to expel over 100 Russian diplomats. Moscow categorically denies involvement in the incident with the Fiddles.
