All issues related to improving the pension system in Russia will be discussed with experts and representatives of professional associations. In it the chairman of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Vyacheslav Volodin assured the head of the Federation of Independent Trade Unions (FNPR) Mikhail Shmakov at a meeting in the State Duma on Wednesday, June 27.
The speaker stressed that the main goal of changing the pension legislation should be to "raise the standard of living of pensioners".
Shmakov, for his part, said that the trade unions propose to supplement the bill submitted by the Cabinet of Ministers with a number of legislative acts aimed at protecting the rights of older workers and young people - they must be provided with full employment insurance.
In addition, the promised growth of pensions for pensioners, according to trade unions, should receive documentary guarantees. On June 16, the Government of the Russian Federation submitted to the State Duma a bill that increases the age of retirement from 55 to 63 years for women and from 60 to 65 for men. Changes will not affect workers in hazardous production, visually impaired, guardians of disabled children, mothers of five or more children. The document is now sent to the regions for review and evaluation.
