The European Union was not an association of like-minded people, but rather, on the contrary - an organization whose members are forced to tolerate each other solely for reasons of territorial proximity. Every day, the EU countries find it more difficult to find compromises, and it seems that the migration crisis may be the last nail in the coffin of the EU. On the eve of the EU tried to find solutions to the problems of migrants. But instead of the summit, a mini-meeting turned out: representatives of only 16 states from 28. The leaders of Romania, Hungary and a number of other Eastern European countries said earlier: these problems of Old Europe, Europe rich and developed, do not concern them. Migrants from Africa and the Middle East do not aspire to them, but to take part of them to unload Italy, France and Germany, the young Europeans no longer intend to. But the European backbone can not agree with each other.

Young French President Emmanuel Macron still believes in ideals and defends them.

"We have values ??in the EU, and every time we betray them, we do the worst. Values ??are respect for human rights, respect for other states and solidarity that holds us together, "he told Angela Merkel. Rome also surrendered: the principles of equality and humanity are forgotten, when the choice arises between hundreds of refugees chatting in the sea and tranquility in their country. Now the Italian authorities have forbidden not only to take in the ports of the court with migrants, but even to help them in case of disaster. And this is not just cruelty: for the Italian government this is a matter of principle, believes the leading expert of the International Institute for Humanitarian and Political Studies, Vladimir Bruther. If Rome does not cope with the discontent that caused the influx of migrants in the country in the near future, the government coalition is waiting for the collapse, the expert said in an interview with "The newspaper. RU".

But if the coalition government of Italy was able to work out a satisfactory agreement in the country, then at the EU level there is a complete rash and, worst of all, a reluctance to compromise. Migrants destroyed the notion of Europeans about the inviolability of values, on which - at least on paper - was based on the unification of countries in Europe. Now the migration crisis threatens to turn into a general political one that will affect not only the whole continent, but the whole world.
