A step "not conducive to improving bilateral relations," called the Foreign Ministry of Latvia the formation of a list of citizens of the republic, who are banned from entering Russia. On the eve, on June 18, it was officially handed over to the Latvian diplomatic department. As noted in the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Riga expected such measures. After all, in February, the Seim declared persona non grata 49 Russians from the American "Magnitsky list". Meanwhile, Latvia's lawmakers consider their actions to be justified, whereas, in their opinion, Russia is simply executing "reciprocal steps" that harm mutual dialogue. It is noted that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic decided not to publish the list in the public domain.

Diplomats intend privately to inform its figurants that they can not visit Russia from now on. Recall that previously mirror measures to support the "list of Magnitsky" Moscow has undertaken against the Russophobes of Estonia and Lithuania. In particular, an employee of the state organization, the Estonian Defense Union, a member of the Estonian Conservative People's Party Urmas Reitelmann. In his reports in social networks, he repeatedly insulted Russian-speaking residents of Estonia, for example, he called them "parasitic tibles", writes "Sputnik".
