The governor of the Sverdlovsk Region, Evgeny Kuyvashev, reported to Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu about the work to implement social guarantees for servicemen and their families. At the conference call, it was about ensuring the children of military personnel in places in pre-school educational institutions and employment of members of military families, the Governor's Information Policy Department.
"The Ministry of Defense, together with the regions, continues to work to address the social problems of servicemen and their families. I want to note that the situation has improved significantly: the turn to kindergartens has decreased by 58%, for job placement - by 36.5%, "said Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu.
According to the governor of the Sverdlovsk region Evgeny Kuyvashev, in the Sverdlovsk region the situation with providing children of soldiers in places in kindergartens is under constant control.
"The Sverdlovsk Region fully fulfilled the task set by the President of Russia to eliminate the deficit of places in kindergartens for all children aged three to seven years in our region, there is a required number of places in pre-school educational institutions. To date, 23 children have been registered with families of servicemen to receive seats in kindergartens. All children in the period of recruitment of kindergartens for 2018-2019, and this will be in June, will get seats, "said Yevgeny Kuyvashev, adding that there are also problems with the placement of children of military personnel in schools.
As for employment issues for family members of military personnel in the Sverdlovsk region, in 2018 153 people applied to the employment services of the region in search of work, 92 of them were employed. When working with families of servicemen, all the opportunities available to the employment service are involved: prompt information on the labor market situation, assistance in finding work, career guidance and specialized job fairs, vocational training and retraining, social adaptation in the labor market.
