Despite all attempts to deprive Russia of the right to host the World Cup in 2018, one of the most significant events in the world of sport is inexorably approaching. And now supporters of searching in each event for a double bottom fear that the country is waiting for new, much rougher and more dangerous provocations. The followers of this view recall that in recent years large-scale information, and sometimes openly, military actions against Russia began precisely during the big sports festivals. The most typical example is the night massive rocket bombardment of residential quarters and the bases of Russian peacekeepers in Tskhinval by Georgian troops in 2008. It happened on August 8, the day of the opening of the Summer Olympics in Beijing. At the same time in the West, simultaneously with the beginning of open hostilities, a large-scale anti-Russian information campaign. Despite the fact that the international community in the person of the UN managed to conduct its own investigation and, having understood the situation, to remove from Russia even a shadow of suspicion of provocation of that conflict, American and many European journalists still present to their readers what happened as "Russia's attack on Georgia". Once again, many experts are sure, the West played its "sport gambit" during the Winter Olympic Games in Sochi in 2014. It is against the background of these Games that the main aggravation of the situation on the Maidan occurred. The Summer Olympic Games in Rio and the Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang were marked by massive anti-Russian hysteria all over the world, but they did not spill over into something else. The event will take place directly in Russia and is best suited for the most brazen and dangerous provocation that the West can only decide on. It is no accident that the United States has already delivered to Ukraine its portable anti-tank missile systems "Javelins". It is not at all necessary that this weapon will take part in the new military actions - in the end, to fire the residential quarters of Donbass anti-tank complexes are not needed. The fact is that in Ukraine the "Javelins" managed to become a kind of sacred objects expressing support from the US and unleashing their hands for any forceful solution of problems. Thus, the supply of complexes is not military assistance, but a signal for an offensive. The situation in Syria is also dangerous, where the militants fed by the government are pleased. However, there are Russian forces there, always ready to repel the enemy. However, a number of experts are afraid that the West can choose the object of provocation is something completely unexpected. For example, the Baltic countries have been frightening their citizens for several years without any excuse "by the Russian invasion".
