Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the implementation of the contract for the supply of Russian S-400 Triumph SAM systems to Turkey is a priority. "We proceed from the fact that during the forthcoming meeting of the relevant intergovernmental commission the prospects for further supplies of modern Russian military products to Turkey will be discussed in detail," the RIA Novosti news agency quotes the president.

At a press conference following the meeting with the head of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Putin stressed that the parties agreed to speed up the delivery of the S-400 at the request of Ankara. "We accelerated production and agreed on prices, which is extremely important," the RT president quotes. Putin added that the issue of production and technology transfer for Russia is exclusively in the commercial sphere and is being resolved at the level of economic entities. In Ankara, on April 3, a meeting of the High-Level Cooperation Council was held under the leadership of the Presidents of Russia and Turkey.
