Russia poses no threat to anyone. Therefore, Washington has nothing to build its policy as if he must give all his strength to confrontation with Moscow. So says the former assistant to former US President Ronald Reagan Doug Bandow. From the pages of the publication of the National Interest, he reminded the current head of state that the Russian Federation and the United States have no common borders. But even if they were - Putin for all the years in power has not made any attempts to capture someone else's territory. Crimea can not be considered - there the population itself expressed a desire to join Russia. And all the stories with South Ossetia, Abkhazia, Donbass clearly show: Russia does not need these territories in its composition. So it's ridiculous for decades to hear the screams of the Baltic states - they say, Moscow is preparing to seize them. If the Kremlin does not flatter itself on the territory with residents loyal to it, then it certainly does not need a headache with a hostile population. Russia is fighting only for the fact that NATO does not come close to its borders. Accordingly, the US administration has an obvious and simple way to avoid a conflict with the Russian Federation - "not to promote their security guarantees and military deployments to the borders of Russia," writes Bandow. And then - everything will be peaceful and peaceful. In addition, now Washington, drawing itself a terrible enemy in the face of Putin's Russia, runs the risk of missing another danger. In recent years, China has changed a lot - its ambitions extend far. India rises, and it is not known what it will want in the future. This is what the US administration should think about, and not announce a new cold war of Russia and spend billions on it. By the way, Bandow said, Moscow, in terms of military spending, was far more far-sighted than Washington.

She directed funds for missile defense, thereby protecting herself. The United States is spending tens of times on armament, but when confronted with Russia this will not help them. Recall that US President Donald Trump, contrary to the recommendations of advisers, phoned Putin after his victory in the March 18 elections and offered to organize a meeting. On Monday, April 2, the leaders held another telephone conversation, during which Trump invited his Russian counterpart to the United States.
