The new schedule of the State Duma approved on Friday, March 23, legislators of the lower house of parliament. According to the amendments to the Regulation submitted by the Chairman of the Control and Rules Committee Olga Savastianova, next week the plenary sessions will be held not on Wednesdays and Fridays, but on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The duration of the meetings will not change: on Tuesday - to 18. 00, on Thursday - up to 15. 00. As for the meetings of the Council of the State Duma, they will now begin on Monday at 14. 00 and on Wednesday at 10. 00. At the same time, statements by representatives of the lower house factions on socio-economic, political and other topical issues will now be held at the very beginning of the plenary session, before voting on the draft of its agenda. So far, we recall, for the performances was assigned a fixed time - in 12. 30, that is, in fact, at the height of the meeting. Innovations were required to ensure that parliamentarians could pay more attention to voters in the regions, explained Savastyanova. She stressed that all Duma factions had earlier made a proposal for such changes. Speaker of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin supported the idea: "We have one goal - to give the deputies the opportunity to meet with voters in a weekly format.
And we are solving this problem at the expense of changing the schedule, "he stressed, noting that the deputies will have to work harder now. Recall that in the autumn of 2017. MPs agreed to shorten the time of breaks. This allowed them to complete work in the State Duma by 15. 00 on Friday and on the same day to leave for the regions, work with which is declared one of the priorities of the State Duma of the 7th convocation. The current proposal to amend the regulations by the deputies was also approved unanimously. Thus, the next plenary meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 27.
