Russians can breathe out. On Friday, March 23, the Central Election Commission officially declared that the election of the Russian president was deemed valid and held. Vladimir Putin won. For it voted 56 million 430 thousand 712 people - this is 76.69% of those who participated in the election of Russians. The nearest persecutor of Putin - the candidate from the Communist Party Pavel Grudinin - received 11.77% of the vote. Despite such a significant separation of the incumbent president from rivals, the CEC chairman Ella Pamfilova did not agree with the opinion that the elections were not competitive. "If in the presidential elections in Russia in 2012. seven political parties had the right to participate, then during this company this opportunity was granted to 67 parties, "she recalled, noting that this time the CEC applied for the nomination of 36 candidates, eight of whom were registered. According to the CEC, the candidate from the LDPR Vladimir Zhirinovsky was supported by 5.65% of Russians, Ksenia Sobchak - 1.68%, Grigory Yavlinsky - 1.05%, Boris Titov - 0.76%, Maxim Suraykin - 0.68% Sergey Baburin - 0.65% of the vote.

Serious violations in the elections on March 18 were not recorded, however, ballots from 14 polling stations were withdrawn from the total in the counting of votes. Thus, after the last presidential election, only one issue remains in doubt: the fate of Pavel Grudinin's mustache. Earlier, he argued with journalist Yuri Dudem that he would get at least 15% of the vote. The loser promised to shave, but until the vegetation on the face of the candidate from the Communists has not disappeared. We wait.
