According to her, the main topic of the meeting will be the discussion of the situation around the statements of Britain on the use of poisonous substances. Zakharova stressed that in this way, Moscow plans to convey its views to foreign countries, as well as to answer questions in order to avoid false accusations, RIA Novosti reports.. "Unfortunately, until now, despite numerous appeals to London, no one knows what kind of substance was used in Salisbury," she added.. Zakharova noted that the British authorities have not yet provided arguments that would prove the fault of Russia in the attempt on the Skripal.

At the same time, the Russian ambassador was summoned to the Czech Foreign Ministry to explain the words of Maria Zakharova that the substance that was poisoned by ex-colonel GRU Sergey Skripal could well come from Britain, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Sweden or the United States. The same example was followed by the Swedish government. The former GRU reserve colonel was poisoned along with his daughter Julia on March 4 in Salisbury. London laid the blame for the incident on Moscow.
