France followed the path of Great Britain and is ready to apply sanctions against Russia in connection with the poisoning in Salisbury of ex-colonel GRU Sergey Skripal. This was told by President Emmanuel Macron. According to him, in the coming days, concrete measures will be announced. "France strongly condemns this unacceptable attack on the union country, and I want to say here all my solidarity with the position of Theresa May," Le Figaro. The politician stressed that the responsibility for poisoning lies only in Moscow.

Macron also recalled "the importance of full compliance with international conventions and the commitment to combat impunity for the use of chemical weapons. Thus, Britain and France joined the coalition against Russia. Earlier, the head of Britain, Theresa May accused the poisoning of Skrypal Russia and made a number of loud statements about the severance of diplomatic relations with the Russian Federation and the expulsion of our diplomats from the country. However, the Russian Foreign Ministry is ready to respond toughly to such actions and will "necessarily" send out British diplomats.
