Maria Zakharova once again sharply criticized the United States. The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry said that Washington with its new nuclear doctrine creates the prerequisites for unleashing a nuclear missile war.

As reported by RIA Novosti, Zakharova expressed bewilderment why Berlin and other capitals have not yet alarmed the US's disproportionate approach to the question of the use of nuclear weapons, so the question is raised about its application "in case of emergency circumstances not limited to military scenarios".

According to the representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, this is fraught with a nuclear strike against all whom the United States will consider aggressors. And especially Moscow is concerned about the development of the American program of low-power nuclear munitions, which in theory can be used in small conflicts and even in the case of cyberthreats.

The Russian Foreign Ministry has previously voiced this position. An original and eloquent response to the development of the US program of low-power nuclear munitions was the Russian president's second address to the Federal Assembly on March 1. Vladimir Putin spoke about the latest types of strategic nuclear weapons, which until then had been kept secret. Thus, Moscow made it clear to Washington that it would not tolerate the use of any nuclear weapons, no matter how small in power it was not. The answer will be devastating, and possibly with the use of all the novelties demonstrated on the screen of the Manege on the first spring day.

A new arms race has actually started between the two countries. After the speech of the Russian president in the Pentagon, they demanded even more funds for the renewal of America's nuclear arsenal.

According to the former chief of the General Staff and the first deputy commander-in-chief of the Strategic Missile Forces of Russia in 1994-1996, Viktor Yesin, for this the US will need about four to six years. During this time, Americans will create systems similar to those discussed by the Russian president. To this end, by the end of 2030, colossal funds will be spent - more than a trillion dollars. The Pentagon intends to update both ground-based missile systems and nuclear submarines. And, of course, to finish work on hypersonic weapons, while strengthening the anti-missile system.
