President of Belarus Alexander sharply spoke about the ban on the supply of milk to Russia. The politician, referring to the special services, claims that Moscow buys milk powder in New Zealand and sells it on the domestic market at a higher price.
"We will give them our milk at the price we consider necessary, and they let the Russians increase the price, if there are already Russian people, Muscovites or Petrograders, eaten up with New Zealand milk," BelTA quotes Lukashenko as saying,. The head of state demanded to understand this situation, but stressed that "such things will not remain unanswered". From February 26, the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance banned the supply of Belarusian milk and a number of dairy products. The list included dry milk and cream, whey and milk concentrate.
The introduction of restrictions is scheduled for March 6.
