Russia will be more terrible than terrorism, British Defense Minister Gavin Williamson is convinced. In line with our country, he also places North Korea. Such a statement Williamson made in the pages of The Times, noting a significant shift in security policy. As an argument, the politician was led by the strengthening of Russia's defense sector: this is a tenfold increase in the number of submarines in the Atlantic Ocean, an anti-terrorist campaign in Syria and an increase in the presence in the Mediterranean. The head of the defense department is concerned about the current situation and believes that if the United Kingdom is inactive, it will become "less secure than it should be". "Now we have priority in the state threats that are gaining momentum at an incredible speed," Williamson told the defense committee.

The Minister believes that it is necessary to increase the cost of military equipment and to reform the law enforcement agencies. It is these actions that will allow repelling in the event of a military clash between the two states. Meanwhile, Williamson's statement contradicts the British security strategy adopted in 2015.

Then the main threat of Foggy Albion was called terrorism. But, according to the politician, times are changing, and over the past few years, the confrontation between the countries has increased significantly.
