After it became known on Monday that the Kiev authorities had banned the supply of D-436 engines for Russian aircraft, domestic engineers had to urgently seek a replacement.

According to RIA Novosti, in Taganrog, where the Be-200 amphibians are being manufactured, an alternative version of the D-436 has already been proposed. These are well-known SaM146 Russian-French production, which stand on the "Sukhoi Superjet-100". But the fact is that they will not be able to quickly equip airplanes with them, since earlier the Be-200 did not fly on them. Yes, and Americans constantly put their wheels in the wheel of their sanctions, including French enterprises that manufacture components for SaM146. According to the head of the Bureau of Technical and Analytical Information of TANTK to them. Beriev Andrey Salnikov, the enterprise really conducts the remotorization from Ukrainian engines D-436 to SaM146. The work has been going on for a long time, and there are no problems with the engines. Moreover, the customer himself decides which turbines to put on the aircraft. Similarly, the situation is with the Russian medium-liner MS-21. Now it is US Pratt & Whitney, but in the future the aircraft is equipped with Russian PD-14. And with the Be-200 it turned out almost the opposite. With almost native D-436 will have to go to virtually foreign SaM146. Inevitably there will be costs. The Russian-French engine is twice as expensive as the Ukrainian one, and the cost of the aircraft will increase dramatically. There is another problem: as is known, SaM146 is produced by NPO Saturn in cooperation with the French company Snecma. And the US State Department has forbidden American companies to supply Snecma and Thales with the details they use to create systems for the "Dry Superjet 100". And now, under the blow, it seems, will fall and Be-200. In the AHK "Sukhoi" such a variant was being prepared - this year for the "superjets" are waiting for the new PW1700GP. But while they did not arrive. Restrictions only come into force, and theoretically deliveries can be broken.

And with the Be-200 the situation is even more complicated. As already mentioned above, on the SaM146 he did not fly. As an alternative to the D-436, which produces "Motor Sich", the British "Rolls-Royce". But this would require anew 70% of the certification work, and this project was decided to collapse.

"Suspended" in the air and An-148, one of which recently crashed near Moscow. It also has Ukrainian D-436, and now they will also have to replace something.

Back in August last year, at the Voronezh plant where liners are manufactured, they announced plans to suspend production of the "one hundred and forty-eighth" because of the lack of orders. The decision was directly related to the Ukrainian ban on the export of dual-use goods. The plane became very expensive, parts were purchased through third countries. Nevertheless, this year the plant planned to transfer two Defense Ministers of the Russian Federation to An-148. What fate of the plane will be in the future is now unknown, since the ban on the supply of engines from Ukraine can simply bury the airliner.
