The Governor of the Sverdlovsk Region Evgeny Kuyvashev held a meeting of the Regional Security Council. One of the main topics was the election of the Russian president, which will be held in March 2018.

During the election campaign, the residents of the region should be provided with security.

Presidential elections in the Middle Urals, according to Evgeny Kuyvashev, should be exemplarily organized, and the election campaign itself should unite society, give a new impetus to the development of the region and the growth of the quality of life.

"All voters should be able to vote in presidential elections in Russia, wherever they are. It is necessary to provide for the creation of reserve, including mobile polling stations for organizing the continuity of elections on the voting day, "- said the governor.

He stressed that the invariable priority for the authorities is antiterrorist protection and the prevention of extremism.
