Verkhne-Pishmina City Court appointed ex-head of Sredneuralsk Boris Tarasov 7,5 years in prison in a penal colony and fined 60 million rubles. This was reported with the press service of the SU SK in the Sverdlovsk region.

According to the investigation, Tarasov bought the land in 2013 cheaply.

He illegally signed a contract with the businessman for the sale of the land for 13 million 900 thousand rubles, while it was worth more than 75.5 million rubles on the market. The budgets of the Sverdlovsk region and the Sredneuralsk GO damaged more than 61 million rubles.

In February 2016, Tarasov was telephoned by a man who introduced himself as an officer of the law enforcement agencies and said that he could help him for a bribe to avoid criminal liability. As a result, Tarasov was also a victim of a crime that was investigated in another region of the Russian Federation.
