The number of countries voting in the UN against the Ukrainian resolution on the Crimea is growing every year. If in 2014 g. the resolution was not supported by 11 states, and in 2016 - 23, then in 2017 their number increased to 26 and. This indicates that the recognition of the Russian Crimea is gradually growing. The document, which Kiev submits almost annually to the General Assembly, refers to the "condemnation of human rights violations" in the Crimea and the "non-recognition of the occupation by Russia of part of the territory of Ukraine - the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol". Each time a resolution is adopted by a majority vote. But, firstly, this document does not change the reality: the Crimea as it was, and remains Russian. By definition, the resolution can only be of a recommendatory nature, it does not have any strength. And secondly, the support of Kiev's position no longer seems so unanimous.

At the UN vote this year, the "occupation" of the Crimea was condemned by 70 countries (in 2014 there were exactly 100 of them), 76 abstained, and 26 states refused to reckon with Kiev's opinion on this issue. A few years ago, China, India, South Africa, Iran, Serbia, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Belarus, Cuba, Venezuela, Bolivia and other countries entered the list of countries that actually recognized the Russian ownership of the peninsula.. This year, they were joined by Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, the Philippines, Myanmar and Uganda.

Representatives of most states that did not support the Ukrainian resolution did not explain their decision in any way. One can only assume that they are tired of anti-Russian rhetoric, which harms their contacts with Moscow and creates unnecessary tension. Belaussians expressed their opinion on their position. Deputy Head of Information Department of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry Andrei Shuplyak stated that his country "always voted against any country resolutions". "This is our principled position, we know from our own experience what attempts at artificial politicization, inflating problems, which in reality are not in society and the state," said the diplomat.

Similar resolutions Shupljak called an ineffective and destructive tool. Minsk stands for "a persistent search for ways and opportunities to bring together positions beyond the scope of accusatory resolutions".

Independent political analyst Alexander Asafov believes that the comprehensive recognition of the Russian Crimea will come with time. "Obviously, the very theme of the resolution for the whole world is no longer very interesting, it borders on absurdity, especially given Russia's position on this issue. Nevertheless, this is an indicator: the world community begins to recognize the Crimea as part of Russia. And the recognition itself is only a matter of time, the issue of different foreign policy circumstances for different countries, "the expert of the FAN.

According to Asafov, the world can not indefinitely blame Russia for the alleged annexation of the peninsula. Sooner or later, the EU countries will have to cooperate with Moscow in the economic, political and even military sphere. "First, this will come from Russia's allies who voted against the Ukrainian resolution, and only then, through the countries of old Europe, Austria and Germany, will be distributed to the rest. Thus, anti-Russian sentiments will go to the displeasure of the United States and Ukraine, "he concluded..
