Over a million euros will be allocated by the European Union to train Ukrainian civil servants in foreign languages ??and increase their competence in general, reports RT. In this way, Europeans hope to grow a "new generation" of cynushs in the Nezalezhnaya, which will be more productive in dealing with state policy at home and will bring the country closer to European integration.

Political scientist Ruslan Ostashko said on Sputnik radio that the decision to spend 1.2 million euros on tameers is an unprecedented fact for the EU. "By this decision Brussels culturally hints to the Ukrainian authorities that their officials who are responsible for relations with the European Union are, to put it mildly, not competent," the expert believes.. According to the political analyst, in no country in the world it is impossible to imagine that the official responsible for working with another country did not know her language at least at the level of communication. while Ostashko is not sure that such a step will help Kiev, as participation in this program, Ukrainian officials will not use for training. "I think that now a line of those wishing to get into this program will line up in Ukrainian officials.

After all. it is a recognition that you are responsible for the connection with Europe. The EU invests in you. you can earn yourself political points and just go to work in Europe or in European corporations that will "jerk" Ukraine, "- said the political scientist. The question of teaching the language here is generally not worth it, says Ostashko, because it is difficult to imagine a Ukrainian official who is not able to spend money on teaching a foreign language.
