Japan has recorded radio signals that may indicate that North Korea is preparing to launch another intercontinental ballistic missile, reports CNBC. According to Kyodo, the Japanese government is on high alert because of fears that Pyongyang will again deploy its nuclear program. At the same time, one of the sources of the agency said that the satellites did not record any activity on the territory of North Korea, so intercepted radio signals can refer to the annual winter exercises of the DPRK army.

The last time the DPRK launched the missile in September, then the projectile flew over the northern Japanese island of Hokkaido, after which a relative calm ensued in the Korean peninsula. However, analysts believe that Pyongyang will continue to work on a nuclear weapons program after a week ago, US President Donald Trump announced that North Korea is a sponsor of world terrorism. Pentagon spokesman Col. Robert Manning told reporters that the US continues to closely monitor North Korea. He added that South Korea, together with the United States, can repel any attacks and provocations of Pyongyang.
