Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on the release of Vladimir Gorodetsky from the post of governor of the Novosibirsk region. In a document published on the Kremlin's website, it is noted that the politician resigned on his own initiative. Apparently, an acute desire to release the governor's seat arose in Gorodetsky very spontaneously. After all, just a few hours before the decree on resignation, the official told the press that he did not intend to go anywhere.

In the morning of October 6, the Novosibirsk head took part in the inauguration of the new highway "Verkh-Tula" - Leninskoye - Ob'GePP. To the most worrisome question of journalists about his political future, Gorodetsky answered unequivocally: "I never comment on rumors, if you are interested in some events, then you know the Kremlin website. RU. Then send the request to. If I were retired, I would not open the way. And now it is necessary to work, to build roads, to hand over to people's joy ".

Applying on the advice of the governor to the Kremlin website, journalists learned that Gorodetsky Novosibirsk Region no longer manages.

Rumors about the possible dismissal of Gorodetsky appeared on the eve, after his emergency trip to Moscow. The governor rejected similar conjectures, saying that he was in the Ministry of Transport. He also complained that gossip prevented him from working.

The temporary successor of Gorodetsky was appointed Andrei Travnikov, who until the last moment worked as mayor of Vologda. Putin held a working meeting with Travnikov, where he reported on the decision taken.

Since the end of September, eight governors have already left their posts. Prior to Gorodetsky, the head of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, Viktor Tolokonsky, the governor of the Samara region Nikolai Merkushkin, the governor of Nizhny Novgorod Valery Shantsev, the head of the Nenets Autonomous Okrug Igor Koshin, the head of Dagestan Ramazan Abdulatipov, the governor of Primorye Vladimir Miklushevsky and the head of the Oryol region Vadim. In the Kremlin, a series of resignations were explained by the need to renew the governor's corps.
