Speech in the Verkhovna Rada of the deputy from the "Opposition bloc" Yevgeny Balitsky was interrupted by the vice-speaker of the Rada Oksana Syroid. At a meeting on October 4, Balitsky reported on the complex environmental situation in the Zaporozhye region, stressing that funds for its resolution are not allocated from the budget. The deputy spoke in Russian.
The Syroid demanded that Balitsky switch to the Ukrainian language, as he speaks in the Ukrainian parliament, Gordon reports.. The deputy refused and added that he was not just talking about politics, but telling about the fate of the whole region.
In response, Vice Speaker Rada turned off Balic's microphone, and he was forced to leave the rostrum.
