To get 300 thousand dependents to work - this is the task set by the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko. Youth, he pointed to another goal - to increase the population to 15 million people.

President Lukashenko is sure: the strength of the country lies in its people. Therefore, there should be more. Father does not hide the fact that recently the demographic dynamics in the republic are pleasing to him. But still, the current 9.5 million people in such a country is not enough. Belarus is able to feed 20 million people, the president believes. Accordingly, "not we, so our children" should work on this issue and bring the population to at least 15 million, Lukashenko told the government.

At the same time, there is work for everyone. Now everyone who wants to work in the republic. At the same time, according to Lukashenka, there is a category of citizens who do not want to work. "These gentlemen have to be forced," he said sternly.. And I calculated that out of a half-million unemployed, 200 are disabled, mothers with many children, people forced to leave work due to various life circumstances. But 300 thousand are parasites who need to be made to work.

How is this a matter for deputies, local authorities, for the government. Lukashenka recalled that a new version of Decree No. 3 "On the Prevention of Social Dependence", now known as the "law on parasites". The president demanded that by October 1, the document was on his desk, and once again he voiced his thoughts on this matter: if a person wants to work, the state should provide him with this opportunity, if he does not want - the state should make him.

Decree No. 3 was signed by the President in 2015. In particular, it states that able-bodied citizens who have not been officially employed for six months must pay a fine of $ 250, otherwise they will be brought to administrative responsibility.

The law caused a massive outrage in Belarus, last winter several unsanctioned protests took place in the country. However, Lukashenko said that there can be no question of repealing punitive measures against parasites.
