A new system of filing an application for voting at the location was tested in the Oblast election commission.

"Voting at the location - the innovation of the current election campaign for the election of the governor of the Sverdlovsk region," the regional election commissions. - Now a person does not need to go to the place of registration to get an absentee certificate. It is enough simply to apply with the application to the nearest territorial election commission or the MFC point, after which the citizen will automatically be assigned to the site he has chosen ".

Accept such statements will begin already on Wednesday, July 26.

Voters can now simply apply with a passport at a convenient reception point (all addresses can be found on the website of the Election Commission of the Sverdlovsk Region) and fills out a statement indicating where they will vote.

"The operator adds all the data to the document, which consists of two parts and they are almost identical - these are key data about the citizen. The main part of the application remains at the issuing point, and the person receives a tear-off card in his hands, "- explained in the election commissions.

According to the commission, applications are easy to identify, because each will be assigned a unique number, and all entries will be encrypted into a machine-readable QR code.

"This will allow to enter documents into the centralized single database of GAS" Vybory "quickly and unmistakably," the regional election commission.

After processing, the system will distribute the applications to the relevant territorial election commissions, so that the voter will be automatically excluded from the list and included in the other. For each precinct commission, they will form their own registry - this must be done no later than one day before voting day.

This order will be in effect until September 5, but then it will be slightly adjusted.

"Accepting applications will be already in the PECs, they assume more degrees of protection (for example, a special stamp will be affixed to each) and they will be allowed to vote with them only in certain areas," the commission says..

From July 26 to September 5, applications will be received in 80 TECs and 135 territorial departments of the MFC in the whole Sverdlovsk region. In the last days before the elections this functional will be transferred to precinct election commissions.
