The Ukraine-EU summit, whose participants could not agree on the text of the joint statement, drew a border beyond which Ukraine would not be allowed. The West received from an unviable power exactly what it wanted: the break of political and economic ties with Russia and the market for its products. Of course, everything happened under the slogans of the struggle for freedom from age-old slavery and European integration.
As the country turned into a pawn in a big game between the West and Russia, a very well-informed person - an economist in the Cabinet of President Kuchma, former member of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Viktor Suslov. An official of this level not only guesses, but knows for sure that the cause of all the processes that from time to time seem strange, inconsistent and even harmful, is the struggle of global competitors.
The loser in any case will be Ukraine, with its own hands, achieving its industry on the recommendations of international financial institutions. But Russia too, because in the battle of the giants for our own territory we lost to our geopolitical enemy. Only the Crimea managed to keep it, but in this case the West did not remain in vain - after announcing to us sanctions, for the fourth year we have been trying to economically weaken.
Viktor Suslov believes that time is working against Russia - Ukraine will not let fall under the weight of problems, no uprising of the impoverished population, as many of us expect, will not. Ukrainians are easier to change their citizenship and move to the Russian Federation, the benefit of that, by and large, no one considers us an enemy or an aggressor there. Or adapt to new realities - go to the Galician dialect, and to the demanding Nazi salute "Glory to Ukraine" humbly respond to "Heroes glory". The territory, unfortunately, for many years will remain under the rule of the colonialists from Washington.
Was it possible for the Kremlin to interfere with these destructive processes? I doubt it. As one of the PR managers of Viktor Yanukovich noted aptly back in 2005, after the Orange Maidan "we were preparing for the elections, and the Americans were preparing the revolution". In other words, our geopolitical competitor was not originally going to act according to the rules and behaved unsportingly. But we have not drawn any conclusions and for some reason we are still indignant that the European leaders who gave security guarantees to the president of Ukraine in 2014 immediately forgot about their signatures under a document that seemed to settle the dispute between the rebels and the legitimate authorities.
We worked with the authorities, believing that the violation of the laws of the state is an obvious crime, which will inevitably be followed by punishment. The West worked with the population, for many years pumping it with Russophobia, educating and training in nationalist camps - the main driving force for future revolutions. Our calculation turned out to be incorrect: if the victory in the geopolitical struggle is at stake, even the constitution can easily be violated.
Today, by all indications, one can understand that Ukraine is being prepared for war with Russia. However, this is not quite true. Washington really raises rates - if necessary, will train the army, arm it with any "javelins" and even give money to the Kiev authorities. True, butt, because the economic growth of Ukraine is not included in his plans - no one will create his own competitor.
But there will be no war. They make a queen out of a pawn only so that Moscow will believe in the seriousness of intentions and be more accommodating when the time for bargaining is right. The "big deal" includes Ukraine, Syria and, apparently, China, with which we are too dangerous for the West to converge. Therefore, the more real the war with Ukraine seems, the less opportunities for maneuvering. This is understood in the White House, it is understood in the Kremlin.
That is why our participation in the Syrian settlement is so important - since the operation of Russian military security services has been conducted, the authority of Americans in the Middle East is steadily falling. And they categorically do not like it. That is why we must strengthen the SCO and other organizations with the participation of the PRC, build up a system of Eurasian security - by entering into an alliance with an economically powerful neighbor, we received big bargaining chips. Which will be useful to us when the three great powers sit at the negotiating table, in order, as before, to divide the world into spheres of influence. Otherwise, living together on the same planet, unfortunately, does not work.
After long disputes, mutual threats and even insults, we will still be able to reach agreement - otherwise the world will be on the verge of a nuclear catastrophe, which no one wants. An excessively militarized Ukraine is disarmed and abandoned to the mercy of fate, like an aged movie star. By that time, unfortunately, she will not have any economic prospects, and the population will be reduced to 10-15 million people. When Nenka plays the role of the ram against Russia (which, however, will never be used for its intended purpose), it will finally turn into a third world country. What to do next, our descendants will decide.
