Kamyshlovskaya interdistrict prosecutor's office, on behalf of the regional prosecutor's office, conducted an audit of compliance with anti-corruption legislation by deputies of the local Duma. The Office established that the two deputies did not provide information on incomes, expenditures, property and liabilities of property nature, which is contrary to the requirements of the anti-corruption legislation.
In this case, the Duma independently within 30 days after the expiry of the term (April 1, 2017), provided for by law, did not take a decision on the early termination of the powers of deputies-violators.
The prosecutor's office submitted to the chairman of the Duma of the Kamyshlovsky municipal district a proposal to eliminate violations of the law demanding that the issue on early termination of the powers of two deputies be considered at the next meeting.
At the meeting, the Duma, having considered the submission, adopted a decision on the absence of grounds for its satisfaction.
Defending its position, the prosecutor's office, the administrative claim on the obligation to terminate the powers of deputies ahead of time to the Kamyshlovsky district court sent. After this, the Duma at the next meeting still deprived the violators of the mandates.
