He was a monster that destroyed the truth

I read here that on June 24, 1973 Brezhnev, during a visit to the US, announced the end of the Cold War. That is forty-four years it seems to be no more than not, once dear Leonid Ilyich said. Oh, you are naive ours! I would have seen what was happening right now-and the jaw would have dropped, and my eyebrows would have puffed up!.

In fact, I believe that it was Brezhnev and his time that laid the foundation for what is happening in Russia today: it began with him the inordinate praise of war as the main and only event in life; It was with him that nepotism, corruption, and the shadow business began to blossom as never before. This began with Stalin's creeping return as the inspirer and conqueror of victory, which, with him, brought about a so-called stability, later called stagnation, and then again, already in our time, Stability-2.

It was with him that a new, already post-Stalinist attack on the simple truth of life began and the substitution of her with lies and hypocrisy. He was at the head of the terrible retrograde leadership of the country, dragging it into the swamp of developed socialism with the pioneers of eternal lights, careerists-Komsomol members and the general approval of delirium, which was created on behalf of the people by the Kremlin dinosaurs,.

And in vain he seems to all a harmless, rugged old man who pronounced "socialist countries" and "systematically," and there were "sausages" and "tits-masiski".

He was a monster that destroyed the truth. And his so-called books, written for him, are superfluous evidence of this. This is especially true of the "Lesser Land" - the history of his participation in the defense of Novorossiysk, which became a talk of the town, a target for ridicule and anecdotes, but in fact - a real feat of people who had spent zero hundred and twenty-five days pouring this small Bridgehead to the south of the city.

By the way, Brezhnev was at the head of the column of the combined regiment of the 4th Ukrainian Front on the Victory Parade, which took place on Red Square in Moscow exactly on the same June day as today, but seventy-two years ago, in the forty-fifth.

It's not for me to judge how worthy he was.
