The leader of the faction of the Radical Party, Oleg Lyashko, advocated an immediate increase in the minimum wage to UAH 5,000 during the consideration of changes to the budget.
With such a demand, Lyashko publicly appealed to Prime Minister Vladimir Groisman, the press service of the People's Deputy.
"In the draft budget changes that you submitted to the parliament, there is an increase in spending on defense, security, the medical industry and a number of important areas, but there is no key - increasing salaries and pensions for Ukrainians. How are you going to overcome poverty and pull Ukraine out of the status of a raw appendage, when you want to export raw timber, sell Ukrainian land, cancel the moratorium on the export of scrap metal? When will you finally begin to pursue a policy that will give Ukrainians money? "- asked the head of government of politicians.
The deputy is convinced that in order to overcome poverty in the country, it is necessary to radically raise salaries and pensions.
"The minimum wage should be 5000 hryvnias. Giving 500 hryvnas, which you plan to give in the next year, do not suit me or Ukrainians. Also we demand immediate increase of pensions. Money for this is. Thanks to doubling the minimum wage since the new year, we have overfulfilled the income to the Pension Fund by at least UAH 11 billion. Let's enumerate and modernize pensions. Enough to scold around the world, "- said Lyashko.
