Verkhovna Rada Speaker Andrei Parubiy said that the US administration can decide on giving Ukraine defensive weapons by the end of this year.

"I think that the decision should be made before the end of this year. The decision, whatever it is - positive or negative - but I think this is a discussion of several months, and in the fall we will be able to reach a final decision on this matter, "- said Parubiy.

The Speaker of the Parliament also noted that first of all Ukraine hopes to get anti-tank complexes from the US.

"I hope for a positive decision on the provision of lethal weapons to Ukraine, primarily anti-tank complexes" Dzhevelin, "and I very much hope that, including, my visit will help to ensure that this issue has been resolved," - concluded Parubiy.

As reported by the "Observer", earlier the Chairman of the Rada stated that in the United States in discussions about Ukraine "there is complete unity" between Republicans and Democrats.
