Persecuted in Russia: two associates of Navalny asked for political refuge in Ukraine

Alexei Navalny, two supporters of the Russian oppositionist, was asked for political asylum in Ukraine.

This was reported by the press service of the State Border Service of Ukraine.

"This morning at one of the checkpoints on the border with Russia, representatives of the State Border Service of Ukraine were approached by two Russian citizens. The Russians said they were in one of the political blocs opposed to the current Russian government and asked for political asylum on the territory of Ukraine, "the message says..



It is noted that these individuals claimed political persecution in Russia.

It is established that men are related to the opposition bloc of Russian politician Alexei Navalny.

The SBSU was informed that Russians were allowed to cross the Ukrainian border and sent to the migration service. The names of men are not called.

As reported by the "Observer", earlier in Russia the court sentenced Navalny.
