In the next two years, the organizational structure of the Ministry of Defense will be changed to NATO standards.
This was broadcast on Channel 5 by the adviser to the President of Ukraine, adviser to the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Yuri Biryukov, writes Ukrinform.
According to him, the changes will take place not only in the organizational structure of the General Staff, but also in combat units.
"In particular, the process of transition to NATO standards provides that in 2018 the post of Chief of the General Staff - the Commander-in-Chief will be divided into two persons.
That is, separately we will have a commander-in-chief, and separately - the chief of the General Staff, "said Biryukov.
"At the departmental level, the management system is changing. As far as I know, more authority is given "down" - more freedom in using weapons and more freedom in giving orders to lower commanders. The logistics system is also changing, the training system is changing, "he added..
As reported by the "Observer", Rada legislatively consolidated the course of Ukraine in NATO.
