The future president of the Russian Federation should declare a "normal, honest" referendum in the occupied Crimea.

This Russian oppositionist Aleksei Navalny told in an interview with Ksenia Sobchak on the television channel "Rain".

At the same time, he stressed that he clearly understands that Ukraine in any case does not recognize it.

"Here the question is not in Ukraine or Russia. Here the question is in the real will of the inhabitants of the Crimea, which must be determined realistically, and not as it was. The referendum, which was (in 2014). - Red. ), - an absolute fake, "- said the oppositionist.

Navalny noted that in the world there is no precedent for resolving a territorial dispute, so the situation with the Crimea, in his opinion, will remain the same.

"I know that many people do not like my words in Ukraine, my words are not liked by many in Russia. But I say as it is: in the foreseeable future, Crimea will not be recognized as anyone, but will in fact remain part of Russia, "he said..

Sobchak reminded the oppositionist that in 2008 he called for recognition of the independence of Abkhazia, South Ossetia and Transnistria, but he was against the annexation of Crimea in 2014.

Abkhazia and South Ossetia are the regions that initially, from the time of the collapse of the USSR, announced the withdrawal (from Georgia. - Red. There were bloody events, there was actually a war. In the Crimea, not in the 90's, nor in the zero years there was no violence.
