The day when Ukraine adopted the law on the resumption of the course for NATO membership, can be called a "black calendar day" for Russia, which in recent years has hindered the Atlantic integration of Ukraine and the expansion of the Alliance to the east.
This opinion was expressed to the "Observer" by the chairman of the All-Ukrainian public organization "Ukraine in NATO", member of the Atlantic Council of Ukraine Yuri Romanyuk.
"I think today in the Kremlin - the black day of the calendar. Recently, they almost every day - black, "- he said.
According to the expert, in response to the law, the Kremlin's speakers - Lavrov, Zakharova, Medvedev, Zhirinovsky and others - will sound scary stories about Ukraine about how they will bomb us with nuclear weapons, how they will drop nuclear bombs on Kiev and Other cities for the fact that Ukraine is approaching NATO ".
In Romanyuk's opinion, the decision itself is "declarative-legal in nature," "does not bring Ukraine closer and closer to NATO". "It states our not multi-vector, but a mono-vector. But on the whole this is Ukraine's victory ".
As the "Observer" wrote, on June 8 the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted the bill No. 6470 on amendments to the legislation regarding the resumption of the course of Ukraine for membership in NATO.
