Of course, Nenka will not become a European power. But it will cease to be Russian. Finally, only the pathological greed of local elites can completely separate Ukraine from Russia, which will probably plunder all allocated funds.

Therefore, the return introduction of the visa regime does not seem to me to be the most far-sighted step. Not only because such a measure will inevitably lower us to the level of Ukraine, which is simply indecent. The main thing is that American strategists are waiting for us. Similarly, they were looking forward to how the Kremlin would deploy troops to the Donbas, or maybe go further, to Kiev, to liberate Russian cities from Bandera.

Expectations did not come true - Russia preferred to wait without interfering in intra-Ukrainian affairs. But this does not mean that we are not interested in what is happening there. If we really consider Ukraine an temporarily occupied part of a single country, and this is so, then we simply can not treat it as an independent state.

Especially in a situation where our former territory is commanded by a geopolitical competitor.
