In the subject of negotiations between Russia and the United States there are three aspects. The fact is that the talks of big countries about the fate of a small country (in this case I call Ukraine a small country because it is a victim of Russian aggression and it does not have such armed forces, there is no such second army in the world as the Russian Federation to release its Territory). So these are the talks the history knows. When one big state, in particular the United States, on behalf of Ukraine and in consultation with Ukraine, is negotiating with the aggressor country. But I repeat once again - in agreement with Ukraine and on behalf of Ukraine.

The second aspect in this problem is that the Russian Federation offered the US direct negotiations on the fate of Ukraine, without mentioning Ukraine as a political entity. This means that if the United States agrees to such negotiations, they will actually not be about the fate of Ukraine, but about that old dream Putin cherishes. Namely - about the new Yalta, about a new section of the world. The essence of Russia's position, I recall, is that it offers the United States to rediscover the world in the light of American and Russian interests. And Russian interests in this case provide for a sphere of direct influence and direct interest of Russia in all countries of the former Soviet Union. I'm afraid to even say, but including the Baltic countries. Although I think that Russia will give the Baltic countries on the fact of their presence in the European community and NATO.

Hence comes the third aspect - Ukraine will never agree to such negotiations. Proper negotiations have an executive mechanism. That is, the countries agreed on something and after that they begin to implement the agreement.

Or for example, if a country, here the United States, participates in negotiations on behalf of Ukraine or taking into account its interests, then its position is fully coordinated with Ukraine and after negotiations, Ukraine undertakes to carry out what was decided. If the solution suits her.

In this case, we see that if these negotiations are once without the participation of Ukraine, they will simply be written on paper. Ukraine will not comply with what is done to it by third countries.

Therefore, this (attempts by the US Administration and the Kremlin to establish relations between countries. - ed) is nothing more than an idea and in my opinion, it is not yet feasible.
