The fact that most Poles see Russia as a threat is not a guarantee of pro-Ukrainian sentiments in Warsaw.

This opinion was expressed in the commentary to the "Observer" by the expert-internationalist of the Ukrainian Institute for Policy Analysis and Management Vladimir Volya.

"The situation in Poland is ambiguous. The indicator of anti-Russianness is not synonymous with pro-Ukrainian.

Poles traditionally do not like Russians, but at the same time, the long-standing dislike of Ukrainians comes to life, "said the international.

According to him, the mass of anti-Ukrainian sentiments and their public manifestations in Poland are alarming.

"I do not think that this will soon lead to large-scale shifts in the Polish mind, in Ukrainian-Polish sentiment, but this trend is certainly worrisome," concluded Will.

As reported by the "Observer", relations between Ukraine and Poland have escalated.
