Workers who are engaged in capital repairs of multi-apartment buildings in the Sverdlovsk region began to learn irrelevant in the construction, but necessary for repair skills. It is, for example, the work with slate roofs. New homes for this technology is no longer built, and to repair the old specialists in this matter are needed.

This topic was discussed today at a meeting of the government of the Sverdlovsk region, which was held by the governor Yevgeny Kuyvashev. Brief results of the discussions were summed up by the Minister of Energy and Housing Nikolai Smirnov.

"Since we switched to a year-round repair system, contractors are changing the format of work - now they have a need for permanent jobs, and not just for seasonal workers. Therefore, on the basis of the fund, in conjunction with contractors, training is conducted to improve the skills of those specialists who work and will work in the course of major repairs, "says Nikolai Smirnov.

Last year, specialists in the repair of slate and soft roofs have already been trained in the region, since at the moment the buildings are being repaired, in which the roofs are made using these technologies.

In 2017, workers will be taught to weld.

"This year, it is planned to teach the technology of welding indoors in the presence of residents. In this work has its own specificity, because next to the place of welding - furniture, carpets ... Also we will teach the external plaster. Unfortunately, these skills are lost, too, "the Minister of Energy and Housing and Communal Services.

Recall, in 2017 in the region it is planned to repair more than two thousand houses.
