The Presidium of the Regional Political Council of the Sverdlovsk branch of the United Russia party suspended the powers of the secretary of the Sysert local branch of the Party, Alexander Karamyshev, on May 16 in connection with his personal statement of voluntary resignation.
For the period until the election of the secretary of the Sysertsky local branch of the Party, the temporary performance of the powers is entrusted to a member of the local political council of the Sysert local branch of the Party Vitaly Nikitenko.
It is believed that the "sausage king" was asked to vacate the post, so as not to defame the honor of the party on the eve of the election of the governor of the Sverdlovsk region. The candidate for United Russia will be the provisional governor Yevgeny Kuyvashev, and mayor Syserti Karamyshev has recently been accompanied by a string of scandals that can affect the image of the candidate and entail the corresponding electoral consequences.
