Relations between Russia and France under the new president of the Fifth Republic will improve, despite the fact that the election was won by the most anti-Russian candidate Emmanuel Macron. He will not become a close friend of Vladimir Putin, but the pragmatism of both will be enough for mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries.

The choice of French citizens will be approved in Russia, since the new head of the republic will bring much more benefits to relations between countries than the predecessors. This conclusion was reached in Europe 1, having analyzed the state of affairs between Moscow and Paris, as well as Putin's reaction to the results of the elections in France.

"In any case, it will be better ... At this point, Putin and Raffarin were in Beijing at the summit of the "New Silk Road" and were eye to eye with the future of Russian-French cooperation.
