Russia must recognize that the head of Syria, Bashar Assad, is creating lawlessness in the country, and refusing to support his regime. This is insisted by the US Permanent Representative to the UN Nikki Haley.

"Assad brutally terrorizes the Syrian people, and he is responsible for his atrocities," Hayley said in a statement on the State Department website. - But its allies - Russia and Iran - also bear a heavy burden of responsibility. Moscow and Tehran allow Assad to kidnap and torture people, to kill without trial, to deliver air strikes with chemical weapons bombs. The whole world has already recognized the horrors that create the Syrian regime. It's time for Russia to join us, "says Hayley.

This is not the first time that the US administration has persuaded Russia to give up Assad's support. This time, the US composed a new horror story. The report, which the State Department presented the day before, says not only about the bombing of civilians and the persecution of citizens for political reasons, but also about the secret crematorium. According to Assistant Secretary of State for the Middle East Stuart Jones, thousands of prisoners of war were killed in Sednaya prison near Damascus. Their bodies were allegedly burned on the spot in order to keep the crimes secret. American diplomats came to these conclusions on the basis of information received from intelligence and human rights organizations.

On this basis, the US again urged Russia to press on the Assad regime and force it to stop the horrors in the country.

At the same time, Washington does not hide that the ideal option is the displacement of Assad from the post of Syrian President.

In Moscow, they believe that the fate of the Syrian leader should be decided solely by citizens of the republic. As for the peaceful settlement, following the results of the talks held in Astana on May 3-4, Russia, Turkey and Iran signed a Memorandum on the establishment of four security zones in Syria. The United States was invited to participate in monitoring the regime of compliance with the ceasefire, but did not receive consent.
