The US will not participate in the negotiations of the parties in the Norman format (Germany, France, Ukraine, Russia) for a peaceful settlement of the situation in the Donbass, but the US side insists on the implementation of the RF Minsk Agreements.

- The Americans said they support the efforts of German and French colleagues, but do not become part of the Norman format - these are the four countries. Not everyone must necessarily become part of the Norman format, there are different formats that allow us to solve our problems, "he said..

At the same time he stressed the importance of participation in the negotiation process of the Russian Federation.

- If there is no Russia in the best format with the Americans, it will not matter for solving our problem. Despite the fact that the American side is actively seeking opportunities to approach Russia with other issues, it was stated very clearly that the sanctions that exist now against Russia will not be lifted until the issue is resolved - Russia must fulfill its obligations under the Minsk agreements, - he said.
