The upper chamber of the Parliament of the Netherlands approved the date of the debate on the ratification of the agreement on the association between Ukraine and the European Union. According to the decision of the committees, the debate on this issue will be held on May 23, according to the Senate website.

It is not yet known whether the debate will follow the debate, or whether it will be postponed to the next meeting of the Senate.

Recall, on February 23, the lower house of the Dutch parliament ratified the Ukraine-EU Association Agreement. Ratification of the Agreement was supported by 89 out of 150 members of the Chamber. 55 voted against.

Voting took place on the last possible day, as on Friday the House of Representatives will stop working before the end of the elections and will resume the meeting in a new composition.

As reported, the Netherlands planned to ratify the Agreement on the Association of Ukraine with the EU in January 2017.
